Markers are much smaller than monuments. As such, they are more-affordable. They contain much less information, and usually have less customization options for personalizing them. Depending on your cemetary's guidelines, these might be an option for you. They are also less conspicuous when used in cemeteries and easier to maintain.
Flat Markers sit nearly flush with the ground. these type of grave markers, also called 'flat-markers' or 'grass-markers' typically feature less text than other types but create an affordable option for any loved one. Some flat markers often hold the ability to include a sentiment and graphic of your choosing to give your loved one a 100% customized memorial.
Beveled Memorials are smaller markers, sometimes called "Pillow Stones", that are slightly higher in the back to give the person reading the stone a better reading angle. Because these type are mounted above ground, Beveled markers are easier to locate.
Slanted Markers continue with a small size yet have a steeper pitch than the Beveled Markers. This face slope makes them easy to read from a distance and helps them stay free of debris and moisture year around. This angle also allows for slightly more text and artwork on the stone face.
